Hi there! I’m Attila Hegedüs, a data and financial analyst with a passion for football and analytics. My journey combines a strong academic background in finance and data science with years of professional experience—and a lifelong love for football.
I launched this website to share my analyses in a professional and accessible way. My goal is to connect with like-minded individuals and organizations who are interested in the intersection of data, finance, and football. My Background
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Informatics and a master’s degree in Finance from Corvinus University of Budapest, where I specialized in business intelligence, investments, financial analysis, and corporate valuation. Since 2015, I’ve been working at PwC as a technology consultant, creating interactive financial reports and optimizing reporting processes.
In 2023, I decided to take my passion for football to the next level by completing the Big Data Analytics in Football master’s program at UCAM University. During this program, I conducted in-depth research on football player performance and market valuation, designing a custom statistical model based on 100 attributes for nearly 3,000 players. My final project focused on analyzing the financial sustainability and operational strategies of Premier League clubs, providing data-driven insights on how they can achieve profitability while maintaining competitive performance.
Before pursuing a career in finance and analytics, I was on track to become a professional football player. However, I shifted my focus to academics, prioritizing my studies and joining PwC as a consultant in 2015. Two years ago, I felt a strong desire to bring my passion for football into my professional life, and that’s when I discovered UCAM’s master’s program. It allowed me to combine my technical expertise with my love for football.
Now that I’ve completed the program in 2024, my goal is to carve out a role for myself in the football industry, contributing to its strategic and financial sustainability. I firmly believe that football is more than just entertainment—it’s a powerful platform for personal growth, character building, and promoting healthy lifestyles. Achieving these goals requires a stable, well-planned financial foundation, and I’m excited to contribute to this effort using my expertise.
